All you need is love
Those who have been reading my blog for a while know that I’m a big proponent of doing things outside of your comfort zone or doing something that scares you – like a ropes course 40 feet above ground or riding a mechanical bull at a party full of people you don’t know. It has risks – but can also have big payoffs.
A few years ago at a gathering, I chatted with a guy named Brandon. I didn’t know him well, but I can talk to anyone. During the conversation, I mentioned that I sometimes go to a class of Scottish Country Line Dancing. I’m not sure how it happened, but somehow I convinced him to go.
Cinnamon has been doing this dance class longer than me, and she was there when Brandon went. I don’t go as often as I’d like, so I can take credit only for the meeting. But Brandon kept going and they eventually started dating. Their relationship developed over the next couple of years, and last month they got married.
Now if that’s not a HUGEMUNGOUS payoff for stepping outside of your comfort zone, I don’t know what is. Mazel tov, you two. May your lives be the Happily Ever After that romance novelists write about in their stories.

Destiny, right? You were the instrument necessary in bringing them together. Beautiful. I love hearing these stories, but it doesn’t happen in real life as often as I’d like. Thanks for sharing!
I know, right? I love it. And all the little decisions that had to happen for this to work out like it did. Yay!!!
How sweet!! What a great story. I’m wishing the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness.
And I never even heard of Scottish Country Line Dancing. That’s something I’m going to have to look around for……
It’s FUN. And it’s much more fun to do than to watch… like baseball. *laugh*
The brush of butterfly wings… and you, my dear, can sell ice cream to snowbound hunters if you can get a man to attend a Scottish Country Line Dancing class.
I KNOW, right? I was surprised he agreed to go – and I expected him to balk when the time actually came. I bet he’s glad he didn’t!
How wonderful! Congrats to them both!! What a wonderful love story.
It’s so sweet. Great payoff, right?
